Visitor's Guide to Milford
For such a small village, Milford on Sea and the surrounding areas provide a huge amount of things to do, and most of it for FREE!! The beauty of its surroundings and the sea-views make Milford on Sea and the neighbouring hamlets of Keyhaven and Barton on Sea a paradise for walkers, runners, cyclists, watersports enthusiasts and beach-lovers.
In summer, the beaches make a great alternative to the busy beaches of Bournemouth, and in the winter, blustery walks along Hurst Spit followed by a good meal and a hot drink in one of the many excellent eateries is the order of the day, although if this isn't your thing, there's plenty more to keep you busy.
Due in large part to its fantastic location, Milford on Sea offers a huge variety of walks for all levels, from shingle walks on the beach and down Hurst Spit, to forest walks, cliff-top walks and of course walks around the village.
See the area from a different perspective - enjoy the peace & quiet and amazing scenery and wildlife from the water. There are several different types of boat trips available, from tranquil ferry trips and Solent cruises to high speed powerboat sightseeing trips.
Fishing is incredibly popular along the beaches of Milford and the surrounding area and there are also a number of sea fishing boat charters available from nearby Keyhaven & Lymington.
The New Forest Tour bus now stops in Milford on Sea (look out for the bus stops with the New Forest Tour sign).
